Feature #4: PALIT & Gainward
NVIDIA unveiled the newest GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti at Computex 2021, and as one of Team Green’s dedicated board partners, Palit responded with an announcement of its own branded card.
The RTX 3080 Ti, as the model name suggests, sits comfortably between the RTX 3090 and RTX 3080, while the RTX 3070 Ti sits between the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080. Based on their CUDA core count, the RTX 3080 Ti at 10240 compared to 10496 of the RTX 3090 and 8704 of the RTX 3080, indicates that the RTX 3080 Ti is much closer to the RTX 3090.
Palit also hinted that there is 12GB of RAM on the RTX 3080 Ti, while the RTX 3070 Ti will be equipped with 8GB, both GDDR6X models. Aside from the classic custom cooler design and fine tuning to the GPU’s core clocks, Palit is keeping quiet this time around but promises to share more details in the coming weeks. But we can definitely digest some of these numbers as representations of ‘The Higher, The Better’ trend.
Palit will release the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GameRock and RTX 3070 Ti GamingPro under the original branding, while Gainward will release the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Phoenix and RTX 3070 Ti Phoenix under its sub-brand.
