Feature #5: Sapphire
SAPPHIRE introduced the Nitro + AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Special Edition last month, taking it a step further to maximize the power of RDNA 2 architecture. Today, they have joined the COMPUTEX 2021 scene to feature this particular product on their virtual booth.
In contrast to the TOXIC series with all-in-one water cooling solutions, Nitro+ category offers air cooling solutions. SAPPHIRE is no doubt skilled at pushing the Special Edition GPU to the limit while keeping the core numbers the same at 5120 stream processors, 80 Ray Tracing accelerators, and 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM. It now boasts an even higher 2365MHz boost clock compared to the standard edition’s 2285MHz.
While the standard dual 8-pin configuration has been retained, an additional 6-pin that provides an additional 75W for better overclocking stability has been added. Following the RX 6900 XT’s strategy of catering to a diverse range of gamers, two versions of the RX 6900 XT SE are also available, one with 1 HDMI 2.1 and 3 DisplayPort 1.4 ports and the other with 1 HDMI 2.1 and 2 DisplayPort 1.4 and 1 USB-C Display port.
