ASUS Expertbook B7 Flip Unboxing

The Expert book B7 Flip comes with a 65W AC Adapter, Setup and Warranty Guide, SIM Ejector, and an Ethernet Adapter.

Design and Features

This is a machine that has a sleek and professional-looking design. The “Star Black” color theme has a hint of blue with some “glittery” specs of white making it imitate a night sky full of stars aesthetic.

Not only that, the chassis doesn’t easily get any fingerprint smudges which is a big plus for business laptops such as this one hence maintaining its clean appearance.

At the center, you can see the ASUS logo as well as an Expertbook badge on the top corner of the Laptop.

For the bottom part, there are minimal-sized vents for the intake which are a little bit concerning but actually appropriate for this kind of laptop and its capability. There are also speaker holes and some rubber feet along the edges to ensure that your laptop won’t slip on flat surfaces.

ASUS also included a physical shutter for the webcam, which gives you instant privacy in case the webcam is not in use. There is also minimal to no flex for the chassis making it appear sturdier than other thin/slim laptops on the market.

Meanwhile, the integrated 720p webcam is nothing special but can adapt to low-light scenarios.

Screen and Display

Having a flexible screen, the Expertbook B7 Flip has a decent supporting metal hinge for you to completely flip the screen without any problems. The screen display also automatically changes its orientation when flipped at a certain angle.

Also, the keyboard automatically disables when you use the laptop on Tablet Mode, this is to not accidentally input buttons while holding the rear of the laptop.

The touch screen is also responsive and very easy to use, there are also some built-in touch gestures to speed up your navigation throughout the laptop. Lastly, the screen is equipped with a privacy filter called ASUS PrivateView. With the same technology in ATM screens, this feature renders the display unviewable from certain angles which can be useful when using this laptop in public areas.

Keyboard and Touchpad

With an ANSI US Keyboard Layout, the Expertbook B7 Flip also has integrated shortcut keys such as controls for the volume, brightness, and the MyASUS App Hotkey located on the function keys.

The backlight on this keyboard is somewhat weak but manageable in low-light circumstances.

There’s also a pretty decent feature located on its touchpad, which is an integrated Numpad that you can enable by just holding the Numpad logo on the upper right of the touchpad. Overall the touchpad has a smooth finish and a good tracking feel.

Overall First Impressions

We’ve covered lots of laptops on this website but mostly focused on gaming. Having a look at this business-oriented laptop by ASUS, I can see the Expertbook B7 Flip’s potential as a daily driver for professionals that are into presenting, analyzing data, and other kinds of office work/tasks.

Seeing the minor problems that can be improved within the webcam and keyboard, it surely outweighs the other features it has to offer that are dedicated to providing you with a flexible, private, secured, and easy-to-use business laptop.
