NVIDIA DLSS adds 10 new games in October, including the newly released Back 4 Blood

NVIDIA’s framerate-boosting DLSS technology has been available across dozens of titles (even big names like Cyberpunk 2077) for some time now. In an announcement posted on their website, the graphics card giant announced that this feature continues to expand today. With 10 more DLSS games coming this October, NVIDIA is now accelerating performance with uncompromised image quality in total of 120 titles.

New additions to the DLSS family include Baldur’s Gate 3, Chivalry 2, Crysis Remastered Trilogy, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Sword and Fairy 7, and Swords of Legends Online. It’s available now in recently released titles Alan Wake Remastered and F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch. The newly launched Back 4 Blood game will also receive this feature.

Upcoming RPG Baldur’s Gate 3, which launched earlier this year in early access also receives a large boost. According to NVIDIA, “With DLSS, and your GeForce RTX GPU’s Tensor Cores, performance is boosted by up to 88% at 4K, enabling GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and higher owners to play Baldur’s Gate 3 at 4K 60 FPS at max settings.”

DLSS will soon provide a large performance boost to Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. As one of the games that comes with ray tracing capabilities, Shadow of the Tomb Raider has been tied to DLSS from the start. NVIDIA says that players will see an 88% performance improvement, and Rise of the Tomb Raider will get an increase of up to 75%.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be updated with the latest version of NVIDIA DLSS on October 18. Rise of the Tomb Raider’s DLSS update will presumably be released on that same day.

What a time to be alive! Truly, DLSS is one of the best technical innovations in gaming in a long time. In case you are unfamiliar with DLSS, it stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling, and its availability is game-specific and depends on your GPU and selected display resolution.

DLSS technology has been one of the main selling points of GeForce RTX graphics cards today. So, for those who have managed to track down an RTX card, buckle up as DLSS appears to make games smoother than ever before.
